Bed and Breakfast Malvern

The Chestnuts is in the perfect position to explore Malvern and the surrounding villages, with Little Malvern, Great Malvern, Malvern Wells and Malvern Show Ground all within 2 miles.

About Malvern

The Counties of Herefordshire and Worcestershire are divided by the Malvern Hills with the hills and fields of Herefordshire to the West and the flatter Severn Valley to the East.

The highest point on the Hills is the Worcestershire Beacon (425m) with North Hill (397m) and the British Camp Hill (Herefordshire Beacon - 338m) the other highest points. In total there are some 20 named hills comprising the complete range. The entire length of the Hills are open to the public and are criss-crossed with about 160km (100 miles) of bridleways and footpaths. Dogs are allowed on the hills and can be let off lead so long as they are well behaved. Cycling is allowed on bridleways only.

The Malvern Hills are quite simply breath taking; there are so many things to see and do.

Bed and Breakfast to Adventure on the Malverns

Walking would have to be one of my favorite ways to see the hills and experience their magnificence. You may come across one of the many springs, one of the most famous being Holly Well; renovated in the 18th centaury it was the most important spring in the Malvern area until a visit by Princess, later Queen Victoria in 1831 made St. Ann’s Well more popular.

For those seeking a more adrenalin filled way to pass their time there are numerous ‘jumping off points’ for hang gliding; or if Mountain Biking is more your thing then there are many trails across the hills. For anyone who would prefer to see the hills from a loftier position a number of riding stables are happy to provide a mount; lets face it, some times four legs can be better then two!

The Malvern’s offer great out door space where children and parents can enjoy a picnic, games of football and cricket on the common or a gentle stroll looking for bugs and insects.

Malvern town

The Malvern's have plenty to offer the whole family; Malvern Theatres/cinema, easily accessible in the centre of Malvern where you can catch up on the latest cine films and some of the best stage productions. It offers a diverse program of music, dance and drama, with its own restaurant and bar.

Hunt for the old fashioned gas lamps, which as many will know featured in 'Tales of Narnia' written by C S. Lewis.

Malvern Town boasts many eateries to suit every taste from specialist coffee shops, Indian cuisine and fine dining. If you are looking for that special gift as a reminder of your stay there are gift shops, jewelry and antique shops to brpwse.
